Assyrtiko Amber is a unique, Assyrtiko-driven skin-contact amber wine from the Greek mainland.
The vines grow in the mild Mediterranean climate, with periods of extreme heat in the summer and extremely low temperatures in winter - unusual for southern Greece. The grapes are hand-harvested before undergoing 5-day maceration with skin contact and 15 days of wild fermentation in a stainless steel tank, controlled at 14-16℃, with no additions or manipulation. bottled, unfiltered and unclarified, after a 3-month stay in the tank with its fine lees.
The wine has no additives, including sulphites. It was not filtered or manipulated in any way.
The wine is characterised by a golden hue and aromas of citrus. With a palette that has a great punch of acidity and light tannins, making it a crispy wine, perfect for pairing with seafood dishes or a serving of various mezes/smaller dishes.
Presented this year at many of our great partner bars and restaurants - amongst others: Domestic, Babylon, Vinøst and Kate's Joint.
