Tetramythos Wines Roditis Orange Nature ØKO
Ano Diakopti, Peloponnes
Certificeret økologisk, naturvin
Organic and minimal intervention wine produced from a north-facing and cool climate single vineyard of Roditis grape variety, in the village of Ano Diacopto inside the P.D.O. zone of Patras.
Cultivated in rocky, limestone soils, shaped in traditional non-irrigated bush vines, 46 years old at 850 meters altitude, provide low yield high quality grapes with significant high acidity.
Use only of the free run must, fermented with stems and skins in clay amphoras with wild yeasts. Extraction of 21 days and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Aging for 6 months in oak barrels (third and fourth use). Bottled unfined and unfiltered, with minimal sulphites addition.
The wine is characterized with light amber color, aromas of tangerine, apricot, apple and white pepper, full creamy mouthfeel with soft tannins, refreshing acidity, herbaceous hints and peppery aftertaste.
The wine pairs well - for example - with vegetable plates, grilled octopus and lamb chops, Japanese cuisine and peppery salads.
The wine, vintage 2018, had a great review in Gastro, May 2020
The wine has been served at many locations ever since we got it some 4 years ago now. Roditis Orange Nature can amongst other be enjoyed at the new restaurant Levi, Restaurant Delphine and Kate's Joint.
