The orange Roditis from the A-Grafo series by Kontozisis Organic Vineyards is an intense but stringent expression of this grey-skinned grape varietal.

Grown entirely organically, with no irrigation or fertilizers, the grapes get their crisp minerality from the mainland terroir. The single vineyard that produces the Roditis grapes, is located at an altitude of 300 meters in the warm and humid Mediterranean climate, and its outline can be seen on the label.

The grapes are harvested by hand and the whole bunches are subject to spontaneous fermentation. 70% of the juice receives 3 months of maceration with full skin contact, and the remaining 30% has a 6-month maceration period. followed by 7-8 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then bottled with no filtering or clarification.

A-Grafo Roditis is a powerful orange with notes of yellow fruits, florality and minerals. The Kontozisis team have succeeded in making a beautiful and expressive Roditis, that keeps true to the crisp acidity that is the signature of the varietal.
