The red Innocent Dove by Kontozisis Organic Vineyard is a classic expression, with all the strengths and tannic structure of both Xinomavro and Merlot varietals.

Grown entirely organically, with no irrigation or fertilizers, the grapes get their crisp minerality from the mainland terroir. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300 meters in the warm Mediterranean climate.

The grapes are harvested by hand and the whole bunches are subject to spontaneous fermentation for 20 days on stainless steel tanks, with temperature control limited to the first 4 days. The wine is matured for 1 year with fine lees in stainless steel tanks and then bottled with no filtering or clarification.

Innocent Dove is a tannic, full-bodied red, with notes of spice and vibrant red fruits, with the tomato notes characteristic of the Xinomavro grape. Textured and pleasant on the palate, with balanced acidity and elegant fruits.
