The Sun Rosé by Kontozisis Organic Vineyards is a crisp, structured beauty on the versatile Xinomavro grape.

Grown entirely organically, with no irrigation or fertilizers, the grapes get their crisp minerality from the mainland terroir. The vineyards that produce the Xinomavro grapes are located at an altitude of 200-250 meters, in the warm and humid Mediterranean climate.

The grapes are harvested by hand and the whole bunches are subject to wild fermentation on steel tanks for 15 days and 6 hours of maceration with full skin contact and no destemming, with limited temperature control. The wine is matured on concrete tanks with the lees and regular stirring for 1 month and then bottled with no filtering or clarification.

Sun Rosé is a youthful, energetic, fruit-driven and elegant Xinomavro, with notes of both red and black fruits, and the distinct tomato-note, characteristic og the varietal. Refreshing and playful acid.
