Part of the Greek mainland, the historical region of Thessaly sports a range of climates, ranging from dry, hot Mediterranean summers to more tempered and wet regions, as well as subtropical, humid areas. The region is home to large parts of the Pindus mountain range - the range Mount Olympus is part of - but also has lowland areas bordering the coastal areas of the region. Subsequently, the wines from Thessaly range greatly depending on the specific area of the vineyard.
