A rare orange wine of limited availability of 1200 bottles. The rare local green Agrippiotis varietal was declared extinct until a few years ago. It was the team behind Tetramythos Wines who rediscovered the grape among the vines of an old Roditis vineyard.
For vinification, only the free run most is used. It is fermented with stems and skins in small steel tanks and macerated for 20 days. The beautiful orange wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphite addition.
It has a light, hazy orange colour and aromas of apricot and summer. Taste of lemon candy and apples and a mouthfeel with soft tannins, refreshing acidity and a spicy, light salty aftertaste. A refreshing orange wine, extremely easy to drink.
The wine pairs well with pies, dishes with vegetable, fish and oysters as well as Japanese cuisine.
The wine can amongst other be enjoyed at Kate's Joint, Delphine, ILUKA and Rouge Oysters in Denmark; and at Pia's Kitchen in Sweden.
